COMMUTING

Bygrave Manor is 1.3 miles from Baldock Station with direct trains to Cambridge and London. In addition its 5 mins to the A1(M) motorway. This makes the London commute less than 1 hour irrespective as to whether take the train direct to Kings Cross / Moorgate and take the tube or drive to Canary Wharf.

EQUESTRIAN FACILITIES

The grounds include a 3 acre paddock (see Google satalite view on 'Interesting Links' page of this website). In addition we are in the process of installing a double mobile field shelter. Further stabling and equestrian facilities (including a Menage) are available at the neighbouring farm (subject to availability).

Communal Living: Ideal location for a several families who want to live together, work the land and still have access to local commerce. Please let me know if you are interested to team up with like minded famlies.

Market Garden: In addition to the orchard, the clay based fertile soil on a south facing hill side makes Bygrave Manor perfect for cultivation. A bit of history: In the 1950s the place was almost totally self sufficient as rationed food was supplemented with veg, fruit and dairy produce from the grounds.

School / Home Education / Conference Venue: With 16 rooms, beautiful location and great communications, Bygrave Manor could be the ideal place for many types of gatherings.

Smallholding: In addition to the Market Garden benefits (above), the paddock could be ideal for livestock

Film location: Location has been considered for a period drama and a sustainable living reality TV program
